  • Choose 2–4 base teas and a handful of herbs or add-ins
  • Have hot water ready so you can taste as you go

Flow of the Activity

1. Set Up the Tea Bar (10–15 minutes)

  • Lay out bases and add-ins in separate bowls or jars
  • Put spoons in each container to keep flavors distinct
  • Set out empty bags or jars and labels

2. Blend and Taste (30–45 minutes)

  • Start with a small amount of base tea and add 1–2 pinches of herbs
  • Brew a tiny sample and adjust to taste
  • Once you like a blend, mix a larger batch and give it a name

3. Label and Store (10–15 minutes)

  • Write blend names and ingredients on labels
  • Store blends in bags or jars for future evenings
