Welcome to Your Charm Making Night

Charm making is small-scale creativity: tiny objects, big personality. This workshop gives people a chance to build something playful and carry the night with them afterward.

Before You Begin

  • Best for 3–8 people
  • Works well around a table with good lighting
  • Cover the table with a cloth or paper for easy cleanup

Flow of the Gathering

1. Set Up the Craft Table (10–15 minutes)

  • Arrange beads and charms in small bowls or trays
  • Lay out pliers and charm bases within easy reach
  • Create a sample charm or two as inspiration

2. Quick Demo (10 minutes)

  • Show how to attach a charm using a jump ring and clasp
  • Share a few simple design ideas (monochrome, initial charms, theme colors)
  • Emphasize that there’s no “right” way—just experimenting

3. Making Time (45–60 minutes)

  • Invite everyone to design 1–3 charms
  • Encourage trading beads or building charms for each other
  • Move around to help with tricky clasps or design ideas

4. Closing (10–15 minutes)

  • Invite a quick share: “Show us your favorite charm and why you made it.”
  • Offer small bags or envelopes so people can take their creations home safely

Variations & Ideas

  • Theme night: Focus on colors (all blues) or motifs (stars, words, travel).
  • Gift-focused: Make charms for specific people in your lives.
  • Pop-up station: Turn this into a small station at a larger gathering.
