Welcome to Prompt Roulette

Prompt Roulette is a simple way to invite spontaneity into your evening. Each card tells you what to do next—no planning, just pulling and following.

Before You Begin

  • Best for 2–10 people
  • Mix prompts that involve writing, drawing, moving, or talking
  • Decide how many rounds you want to play

Flow of the Game

1. Set Up the Deck (10 minutes)

  • Write or print short prompts on cards (e.g., “draw your day in 3 lines,” “share a song you love,” “write a 2-sentence story,” “stretch like a cat”)
  • Shuffle and place them in a bowl or box

2. Play Rounds (30–45 minutes)

  • Take turns drawing a card and reading it aloud
  • Everyone follows the prompt together or the person who drew does it—your choice
  • Move through prompts until you’ve reached your chosen time or number of rounds

3. Close the Game (10 minutes)

  • Ask each person to share a moment or prompt they enjoyed
  • Collect cards for future nights or invite people to write new prompts

Variations & Ideas

  • Theme deck: All prompts based on creativity, reflection, or movement.
  • Solo version: Use prompts as a gentle way to start an evening alone.
  • Add-on: Pair with another event kit as a warm-up or cool-down.
