Welcome to Your Winter Reflection Evening

Winter can be a season of quiet, rest, and looking inward. This evening invites you to slow down, notice where you are, and check in with yourself.

Before You Begin

  • Choose a dark, quiet evening
  • Gather blankets, warm drinks, and comfortable seating
  • Let anyone joining know the vibe is gentle and unhurried

Flow of the Evening

1. Settle In (10–15 minutes)

  • Light candles or turn on warm lamps
  • Invite everyone to sit or lie down in a comfortable spot
  • Take a few deep breaths together

2. Guided Reflection (30–40 minutes)

  • Use prompts like:
    • “What have I been carrying that feels heavy?”
    • “What has kept me company lately?”
    • “What tiny things have helped me through tough days?”
  • Write slowly and without judgment

3. Optional Sharing (15–20 minutes)

  • Invite people to share a sentence or small portion, if they’d like
  • Keep responses soft and supportive—no fixing, just listening

Variations & Ideas

  • Solo practice: Do this once a week during winter.
  • Audio version: Record yourself reading prompts and play them during the evening.
  • Seasonal series: Repeat with different prompts in each season.
