Welcome to Your Winter Reflection Evening
Winter can be a season of quiet, rest, and looking inward. This evening invites you to slow down, notice where you are, and check in with yourself.
Before You Begin
- Choose a dark, quiet evening
- Gather blankets, warm drinks, and comfortable seating
- Let anyone joining know the vibe is gentle and unhurried
Flow of the Evening
1. Settle In (10–15 minutes)
- Light candles or turn on warm lamps
- Invite everyone to sit or lie down in a comfortable spot
- Take a few deep breaths together
2. Guided Reflection (30–40 minutes)
- Use prompts like:
- “What have I been carrying that feels heavy?”
- “What has kept me company lately?”
- “What tiny things have helped me through tough days?”
- Write slowly and without judgment
3. Optional Sharing (15–20 minutes)
- Invite people to share a sentence or small portion, if they’d like
- Keep responses soft and supportive—no fixing, just listening
Variations & Ideas
- Solo practice: Do this once a week during winter.
- Audio version: Record yourself reading prompts and play them during the evening.
- Seasonal series: Repeat with different prompts in each season.
